Statutory version gate — check before teaching. KCSIE 2025 applies to teaching until 31 August 2026. KCSIE 2026 applies from 1 September 2026. The new RSHE statutory guidance becomes mandatory on 1 September 2026. A deck taught either side of that boundary is checked against the edition in force on the day it is taught, not the edition it was written against.
