Reveal a worked explanation after an attempt
Mean A = (48 + 50 + 49) ÷ 3 = 49 cm. Mean B = 28 cm. The trolley stopped over a shorter distance on B in these sample data. We need assurance that release and measurement were controlled. This analysis is not a practical the class completed.
Give a smaller support cue
Compare one A value with one B value first. Say “In these results … because …”.

Teacher model · compare with the pupil’s evidence
Sample model: B has a mean of 28 cm compared with A’s 49 cm, so the trolley rolled a shorter distance on B in this setup. The conclusion depends on a controlled release. A fixed release mark and no push would improve consistency. Practical conclusions must follow the actual retained measurements.
