Partnership Proposal: Reciprocity & Boundaries

Improve an existing authorised partnership or internal stakeholder relationship through a reciprocal, evidence-led proposal while keeping contact, consent and external agreement under responsible adult authority.

🎯 Learning objective: I can evaluate what each side currently contributes and needs, identify an evidenced relationship gap, draft a reciprocal next-step proposal, route it for approval and distinguish proposal, response and agreement.
✅ Success criteria
  • I can locate the evidence and conditions relevant to this task.
  • I can compare an alternative and explain a limitation or trade-off.
  • I can revise, transfer or define an owned next action after feedback.

Inherited
W11 supplies the keep/change/stop decision, verified achievements and gaps, missing voices and the precise project action that may benefit from stronger collaboration.
Feeds next
The next pack's Aut2 W6 lesson records and organises project evidence, including today's proposal status, any genuine response and any remaining relationship, approval or consent gap.
LAUNCH entry
Complete the core routine with agreed access.
LAUNCH secure
Evidence + comparison + limitation/trade-off + owned action.
Stretch
Lead, adapt or evaluate under unfamiliar conditions.
Qualification boundary: Assessment gate: treat output as assessed evidence only where initial assessment selected the applicable route and level and registration occurred before the assessed attempt; otherwise this page is teaching/rehearsal only. A draft, approved contact, sent proposal, response and agreement are distinct evidence states. No partner, commitment or outcome may be invented. Where initial assessment and registration already place the learner on an applicable current ASDAN/AQA project or employability route, this work may be considered candidate evidence after assessor mapping; otherwise it remains teaching/rehearsal. Cross-strand use does not create automatic credit or completion.

Quiet retrieval

Locate or describe one genuine previous decision, action, draft, observation or feedback item that can help today. State what is known and what still needs checking.

Access: point, order cards, use a structured verbal response, annotate a supplied copy or ask for a source cue. Do not invent missing evidence.

▣ I Do · model the reasoning
Model the hidden process, not a completed learner answer.
Verify whether there is an existing authorised partner or use an internal stakeholder; map each side's documented contribution, need, capacity and decision rights without inventing commitment.
Identify one relationship gap and compare two reciprocal next steps for value, workload, access, sustainability and boundary risk.
Draft a specific proposal with purpose, ask, offer, time frame, contact/consent route and review point, then label status as draft, approved to send, sent, responded or agreed.
Authorship check: Staff may model the process and preserve access. The learner must make the assessed choices and supply their own response.

▣ I Do 2 · limitation / transfer
Raise demand through counter-evidence, trade-off and transfer.
Compare one credible alternative, counter-example or competing pressure before finalising the partnership proposal: reciprocity & boundaries decision.
State one boundary, assumption or trade-off that could change the plan, and identify how it will be checked.
Transfer the reasoning routine to an unfamiliar but related adult-life, workplace or community situation.
Boundary: Learners do not contact external organisations, share names/details, promise resources, publish logos or claim partnership without authorised staff process and consent. Use role labels and internal drafts. Staff control safeguarding, data sharing, finance, agreements and reputational risk.

START

Confirm the actual relationship, authorised contact route and evidence-led purpose for strengthening it.

DEPENDENCY

Map what each side can realistically offer or needs, plus time, capacity, consent and decision dependencies.

CHECKPOINT

Pause at staff approval and partner response; a draft, sent message and agreement are different states.

RECOVER

Revise the ask, use an internal stakeholder route, postpone or close the proposal if capacity or boundaries do not align.

Choose a phase, explain its job, then transfer it to the real task.

◆ Independent · sustained transfer

Independent task

Using an existing authorised partner record—or an internal school stakeholder if no external relationship exists—create a reciprocity map and compare two possible next steps. Draft a bounded one-page proposal or meeting agenda stating purpose, evidenced benefit, specific ask, specific offer, workload, boundaries and review point. Route it for staff approval. Record any actual response only if received; otherwise preserve 'draft/not sent/no response'.

Care / authority

Evidence candidate
Candidate evidence only: verified relationship/status record, learner reciprocity map, option comparison, bounded proposal or agenda, approval route and actual response/agreement only where authentically received.
◆ Supported route

Complete the core routine with agreed reading, sensory, motor or communication access.

Decision/action → evidence → reason → limitation → next step. Access remains; ownership stays with the learner.

Plan/claim → evidence → counter/alternative → evaluation → next action.
