BUILD ASDAN — the full term · Studio Decks
Every ASDAN slot, one connected system. Reluctant writers build portfolio evidence through making, doing and photographing — not paperwork.
What this banks, stated honestly. Most BUILD slots bank an ASDAN Short Course — a non-regulated programme recorded through a portfolio and internal moderation, carrying no grade and no level. Where a pupil is registered for ASDAN PEQ, that is a regulated qualification with a named unit, code and credit. The centre is registered for both, and this cohort’s learners are registered with units entered; what remains is assessment and quality assurance. Evidence status uses the controlled states in the claims register — nothing is certified until the awarding organisation says so.
Accreditation facts for staff. No PEQ unit is claimed by these lessons. Short Course achievement can feed PEQ recognition of prior learning within three years. The ASDAN e-portfolio closes to existing users on 31 August 2026 — export anything held there. Unit and level attribution is the centre coordinator’s decision — nothing is promised to a learner. Where a pupil is on PEQ, partial achievement still certificates at unit level.
Shared blueprint (every pack): a title illustration + warm-up → a different settle activity each week (wordsearch, match-up, odd-one-out, sequence, sort, team quiz) → ▣ MODEL (I do / we do) → ◆ INDEPENDENT (you do — Standard or Supported) → the Lundy loop onto a term-long class artefact → Evidence & review (Documentarian photos, annotated visuals, witness-statement shorthand → ASDAN tracker + evidence status). Zones are icon+label+colour (never colour alone), Calm Mode + print built in, no pupil names.

Each slot is a 6-lesson module (W1–6); Careers runs to W7 (post-16 routes at W6, My Career Profile at W7); Week 8 is consolidation & portfolio completion. Add ASDAN module codes, allergy lists, community partner/site and off-site approvals before teaching.
