What stays local
Not every browser setting belongs in an account. Reading-background choice remains a device preference. Pupil registers, marks, evidence and other classroom records are not swept into member sync.
Existing offline games and lessons continue to work independently of sign-in.
Existing local profile preserved
Your old local password record is not uploaded. Existing local game saves are not deleted. You can manage the old profile from Account settings.
