ASDAN RegisterPEQ & Short Courses · Made by Matt

Today

Tap a pupil: Present → Late → Absent → clear. Present banks the slot's minutes straight into the hours engine; Late banks half. The corner dot cycles an engagement RAG. Nothing here to double-enter later.

How to use ASDAN Register

One app, two ASDAN shapes. PEQ units track criteria, logged hours and milestones. Short Courses track challenges, banked hours and the closing documents that gate every certificate.

1 · Pupils (once)

Add your class, or press Import pupils from a UAS Register backup to bring them over from the AQA app in one click.

2 · Create a programme

PEQ unit — enter the unit code (e.g. WellbLeE3), title, level, credits and GLH, then type the knowledge criteria (E3.1, E3.2…). Short Course — enter the course, target credits, then build modules and their challenges; give each challenge its section (A/B) and hours. Enrol pupils by tapping names on the programme page.

3 · Track as you go

PEQ: tap a criterion chip, tap pupils to date-stamp it — and log session hours with the minute buttons (tap a pupil, then 30/45/60). The tally counts toward the unit's GLH. Short Course: pick a pupil, then tick the W · P · R trio (Work evidence, Planning sheet, Review sheet) for each challenge. A challenge only banks its hours when all three are ticked — that's what ASDAN counts.

4 · Watch the Readiness board

Per pupil: credits banked (hours ÷ 10, whole credits only), what's missing, and the closing documents — summary of achievement, personal statement, tutor record, sign-off. Tick them off on the programme page as they're done. When a card turns green, claim that certificate before anything else happens.

5 · Print the paperwork

Per pupil: the portfolio audit (challenge × W/P/R grid for the front of the folder), the hours tally sheet, and a signed tutor record. Print or save as PDF for moderation.

Paperwork branding

When on, every claimed or printed document carries the school's name above the centre line — ready for the Progress file.

Terms

Courses run on across terms — credits always count the whole course. Terms organise the register and the tally.
