Professional participation workflow

Capture voice. Route responsibility. Return change.

This system treats every promised response as an obligation owed by the organisation. A loop closes only when a decision or action has been returned to the learner and they have had a chance to review it.

Original accountability lens

Participation debt

Outstanding promises, overdue decisions and unreturned feedback belong to adults and systems — never to the pupil.

Priority queue

Oldest and most urgent adult obligations appear first.

Closed-loop pipeline

Where every voice currently sits

Stages describe the organisational workflow, not a pupil score.

Your words, your way.

Use an alias, take time, choose another communication route, or stop without saving. Speaking is never the only route.

1

What would make this easier?

Pick as many as help. “Not now” is a valid choice.

2

How do you want to share?

Choose a route. Adults should record exact words separately from their interpretation.

Optional local audio
Audio is not sent anywhere and is not transcribed. It remains on this browser until deleted or included in a backup.
No audio recorded.
You stay in control: you can ask who will hear this, how they will reply, and what can genuinely change. You do not have to agree with the final decision for your participation to matter.
Staff routing desk

Make the audience and promise explicit.

Keep exact pupil words separate from adult interpretation. Define what can change, appoint an owner, set a return date and name an escalation route.

Choose a captured or reopened loop to route it.
Accountable decision desk

Show how the view was weighed.

The pupil does not have to get their first choice. The decision-maker must show that the view was genuinely considered, explain constraints and create a Plan B or trial where appropriate.

Choose a routed, considering or reopened loop.
4F feedback studio

Full. Friendly. Fast. Followed-up.

Returning a polished report is not the same as telling a pupil what happened to their own view. This workspace creates specific feedback and a real chance to reopen the loop.

Choose a loop with a recorded decision.
Quality assurance without pupil scoring

Audit the system, not the child.

The audit checks whether adults created Space, supported Voice, named an Audience and returned Influence. It also checks transparency, voluntariness, inclusion, safety and accountability.

Communication routes used

Uneven use is a prompt to investigate access — not proof of inequity.

Audience concentration

Who carries the obligations?

Over-concentration can reveal a routing bottleneck.

Back up, import & export

A downloaded file may contain sensitive pupil information. Store it only in approved, access-controlled locations. Encrypted export protects the file contents, but password handling remains your responsibility.

Safeguarding & data boundary

What this tool is not

Not a safeguarding record: do not delay or replace your setting’s safeguarding process. Detailed disclosures should move to the approved system and designated safeguarding lead.
Not secure cloud case management: IndexedDB is local browser storage. Anyone with access to the same browser profile may be able to access or delete it.
Data minimisation: use aliases, collect only what is needed, maintain accuracy, define retention and protect exports.
