Introduce the four changes of state and their names.
Melting (solid→liquid) and freezing (liquid→solid) happen with temperature. Evaporation (liquid→gas) and condensation (gas→liquid) do too. These changes are reversible — you can go back.

Heat melts ice to water; cooling freezes it back. It's the same water either way.
Watch for: "once it melts it can't turn back" and "evaporation only happens at 100°C".
