BUILD Summer 1: sources and checks

Scheme of work

Humanities Scheme of Work 2026–27, BUILD Summer 1. The uploaded scheme supplies the lesson outcomes and assessment wording. Lesson metadata absolute_week and sow_page runs from 27 to 32. These values are curriculum references, not physical document page numbers.

Authored teaching plans and practice evidence

Townside and Coastside are invented teaching plans. Week 4's practice tally is authored practice evidence and cannot evidence an outdoor visit. An adult selects and supervises the actual route inside the grounds. Week 6's demonstration plan is invented and cannot replace the class's own checked plan.

Townside and Coastside

Townside's symbols, letter key and route tasks are authored practice evidence, not a surveyed map or safe real-world route. Coastside is the authored comparison plan used in Week 3. Both show selected features and are not to scale.

World map

The Week 5 SVG is original artwork: simplified teaching map, not to scale. It uses seven continents, five oceans, a UK locator and no country borders. It omits most islands and fine coastline detail. Australia is used in the seven-continent convention; the Pacific is one ocean across the flat map’s edges.

Names checked against National Geographic: Continent and NOAA: How many oceans are there?, accessed 21 September 2026. These support the facts, not the original drawing’s precise shapes or scale.

PACK-1R review

The source names and URLs above are retained from the supplied packs. No new external fact research was performed in PACK-1R. The lesson chassis is unchanged. See QA_Report.txt for the checks actually run and their limits.
