Spark: Choosing well beats choosing fast.

Success looks like

  • I can weigh community needs against real criteria
  • I can argue for a choice using its evidence
  • I can commit to the group decision and say my part in it
Aspire Β· argue the case for the runner-up need as if it had won β€” then say what would change your mind.

EVIDENCE

Talk first, then we play β€” every voice counts here.

I Do

The Model β€” Choose the Need

Key Idea: Choosing well beats choosing fast.
Step 0 of 3

Weighing needs on three tests: is it real, can we do it, will it last.

The three tests do the deciding: is it real (evidence), can we do it (our skills, our term, our budget), will it last (does the benefit outlive us). A need must pass all three.

Matching claimed needs to their evidence β€” the match game is the decision engine.

The evidence match is the engine: every claimed need lines up with its proof, and needs that can't find their proof fall out of the race honestly.

Committing as a group β€” the outvoted work as hard as the outvoters.

The commitment is the point of the vote β€” reasons argued in the open, one voice each, and then the outvoted work as hard as the outvoters. That's what makes it OUR project.

Match it up

How it works: Every card has a partner. Say which one before you tap β€” the tap only tells you if you were right.Found: 0/4

Proving It β€” The Evidence Loop

Key Idea: Launch extension: one written line β€” who benefits first when this project lands.
Step 0 of 3

Documentarian

photo the scoring grid + vote.

Annotate

'we chose ___ because ___'.

Witness

staff sign the decision record.

For the moderator, not just the folder

A tick says it happened. A witness statement says what you did. Before the photo is filed, the adult writes one sentence naming the thing they actually saw you do — and rings whether you did it Supported, Standard or Stretch.

That ring is the part that counts. It is the difference between “the class did this” and “this candidate did it, at this level, with this much help.” The witness sheet prints with every pack.

We Do

Which Need Passes the Test?

Step 1: Tap a card, then its partner. Step 2: Watch the WAGOLL write itself. Score: 0/4

Food bank short on stock
Real? Users said yes. Lasting? A bench outlives us
Real? A written invitation. Lasting? Only if the visits keep going
Real? The photo count says yes. Lasting? It fills again by Friday
Real? Their own appeal poster. Lasting? Stock runs out β€” then what?

🀝 With support

Task: Use the picture ballot to weigh two needs with support, then cast your vote and say one reason.

Steps: One step at a time β€” adult support is right there. Photo when you’re proud of it.

πŸ‘€ On your own

Task: Score the shortlisted needs on the three tests, vote with reasons first, and record the chosen goal on the board.

Steps: Work the task through β€” photo as you go, annotate at the end, witness tick before you pack up.

πŸš€ Take it further

Task: Score the shortlisted needs on the three tests, vote with reasons first, and record the chosen goal on the board. Stretch: argue the case for the runner-up need as if it had won β€” then say what would change your mind.

Steps: Task first, stretch second β€” and your annotation should explain the why, not just the what.

Lundy Loop

Lundy Loop β€” Your Voice on the Wall

Why: Article 12 β€” your view counts here, and it genuinely changes what happens next.

πŸšͺ SPACE

The Green-Light Board is real-stakes but safe β€” nothing goes up without your say-so, 'pass' is allowed, and outvoted voices stay respected.

πŸ“£ VOICE

Say your choice and the test it passed. Reasons before votes.

πŸ‘₯ AUDIENCE

The outvoted are heard here too β€” the board records the reasons, not just the winner.

⭐ INFLUENCE

The need chosen on this board is the project. There is no second vote.
