What makes sharing feel safe?

With your partner: watching someone share their work can be brilliant or awkward — and it’s mostly the AUDIENCE that decides which. What does a good audience actually do?

Your next step, out loud. It goes in the log too — next term starts exactly there.

Partner, TA, or camera — ALL count fully for Arts Award. Sharing means someone sees it. It never means performing to a crowd.

Misconception: ~~“Sharing means standing up in front of the whole class.”~~ The Arts Award asks that someone SEES your work and hears your thinking — a partner, the TA, or a video all count completely. Your route, your choice, same credit.

Share it 🎤

Ground rule (60 seconds): when someone shares, the room protects them: eyes on the work, wait to the end, one kind comment — every sharer gets the same.

Station 1 · PICK & PRACTISE

Lay out your term’s pieces and pick your favourite. Then practise once, all together, on the demo piece — stems on the board, no pressure.

Station 2 · PRESENT

Share your portfolio by your route: to a partner, to the TA, or on video. Three stems, your work, done. Pointing at parts while you talk is perfect.

Station 3 · NEXT STEP

Your “next I’ll…” goes into the log — and highlight the piece you’ll build on next term.

Going for Grow: invite one question from your audience and answer it — even “I don’t know yet” is an artist’s answer.
