Retrieval Quiz
Arrival Task โ What Do You Already Know?
1. Say it
What's the most important thing on your profile?
Any honest answer counts โ say it out loud.
2. Spot it
Picture or words โ which tells your strengths?
Any honest answer counts โ say it out loud.
3. Point to it
Point to your next-step job area.
Any honest answer counts โ say it out loud.
1. The big idea
What does 'Your strengths, on one poster.' mean in your own words?
Own words โ one honest sentence.
2. Today's work
Today is 'My Career Profile' โ poster & portfolio. What do you think we'll be doing?
A sensible prediction โ we check it at the end.
3. Success check
By the end you should be able to say: 'I can build my career profile from this term's work.' What will that take today?
Name one thing youโll need to do or try.
1. Curate
You can only keep three pieces of evidence from this term. Which three, and what does each prove?
Own picks โ strongest proof per strength, not favourite memories.
2. Audience
Your poster will be read by a stranger. What must they understand in ten seconds?
Who you are, your headline strength, and where you're heading.
3. Next step
A goal with no adult attached usually stalls. Who's attached to yours?
Named adult + what they'll actually do โ ask, chase, open a door.

I Do
The Model โ My Career Profile
Key Idea: Your strengths, on one poster.
๐ Look: six weeks of work assembles into one profile โ yours.
Step 0 of 3
Turning your profile into a career poster.
The poster is your profile made visible: name, strengths with proof, job direction โ arranged so the important thing is the biggest thing.
Choosing images/words that show your strengths.
Images and words earn their place by showing a strength. A photo of your planter says 'practical' louder than the word does.
Filing it as ASDAN portfolio evidence.
Filed evidence is banked evidence: dated, witnessed, in the portfolio. This poster is the term's work compressed onto one page.

Step 0 of 3
Documentarian
photo your finished poster.
Annotate
'my goal is ___'.
Witness
staff sign off the profile as portfolio evidence.
For the moderator, not just the folder
A tick says it happened. A witness statement says what you did. Before the photo is filed, the adult writes one sentence naming the thing they actually saw you do — and rings whether you did it Supported, Standard or Stretch.
That ring is the part that counts. It is the difference between “the class did this” and “this candidate did it, at this level, with this much help.” The witness sheet prints with every pack.

Instructions: Work at your level. Missed a few weeks? Use the Banked Strengths Deck in the print pack — choose three, add your proof, and you are building the same profile as everyone else. Any route counts: Share your poster with the room, with one adult, or just pin it โ the portfolio evidence is the same. Evidence goes in your ASDAN portfolio โ Documentarian photo + annotation + witness tick โ ASDAN LI M8 / AQA UAS.

Scaffolding โ Supported
Access & sensory notes (staff)
· The supported task today is: Build your poster from your own profile cards and pictures on the pre-laid grid, then post it into the portfolio sleeve yourself.
· Fine motor: offer the chunky-grip pen, and accept a card sort or a spoken answer scribed by an adult — the judgement is the evidence, not the handwriting.
· Sensory: Talking about jobs and futures is loaded for some pupils โ a parent out of work, an older sibling who left with nothing. Offer the write-it-first route before any share-aloud, and never ask a pupil to name a family memberโs job.
· Cognitive load: a completed small piece beats a half-done large one at moderation. Cut the target, never the thinking.
· Ring the level honestly on the witness sheet. Supported with the work finished is a stronger portfolio entry than Standard with it abandoned.
1) Lay out name, strengths and direction. 2) Attach proof to every strength. 3) Make the most important thing the biggest thing on the page.
