I Do

The Model β€” Jobs in My Community

Key Idea: Teesside runs on people doing jobs.
Step 0 of 3

Different local workplaces and what workers do there.

Teesside's workplaces range from the high street to the industrial estate β€” every one is a bundle of different jobs, not just the one you see at the counter.

Indoor vs outdoor, day vs shift work.

Indoor or outdoor, daytime or shifts β€” the same job can feel completely different depending on where and when it happens. Which suits you is worth knowing early.

How a job meets a community need.

Every real job exists because somebody needs it. Trace the need and the job makes sense: engines break, so mechanics exist.

We Do

Match it up

How it works: Every card has a partner. Say which one before you tap β€” the tap only tells you if you were right.Found: 0/4

I Do

Proving It β€” The Evidence Loop

Key Idea: Launch extension: one written line β€” the local job you'd try for a week, and what it would ask of you.
Step 0 of 3

Documentarian

photo your job-match board.

Annotate

'this worker ___'.

Witness

staff tick 'matched jobs to tasks', sign.

For the moderator, not just the folder

A tick says it happened. A witness statement says what you did. Before the photo is filed, the adult writes one sentence naming the thing they actually saw you do — and rings whether you did it Supported, Standard or Stretch.

That ring is the part that counts. It is the difference between “the class did this” and “this candidate did it, at this level, with this much help.” The witness sheet prints with every pack.

🀝 With support

Task: Match the job photos to the β€œwhat they do” symbol cards. Two pairs are matched already as worked examples β€” do the rest yourself.

Steps: One step at a time β€” adult support is right there. Photo when you’re proud of it.

πŸ‘€ On your own

Task: Match the local-job photos to what each worker does and where, then pick one you'd try.

Steps: Work the task through β€” photo as you go, annotate at the end, witness tick before you pack up.

πŸš€ Take it further

Task: Match the local-job photos to what each worker does and where, then pick one you'd try. Stretch: find a local job nobody in the room knew existed.

Steps: Task first, stretch second β€” and your annotation should explain the why, not just the what.

Lundy Loop

Lundy Loop β€” Your Voice on the Wall

Why: Article 12 β€” your view counts here, and it genuinely changes what happens next.

πŸšͺ SPACE

The Strengths Wall is our safe space β€” nothing goes up without your say-so, and 'pass' is always allowed.

πŸ“£ VOICE

Say one local job you would want to know more about. It goes on the wall beside your strengths.

πŸ‘₯ AUDIENCE

Staff read which jobs the room is curious about β€” that list is not decoration, it is our planning.

⭐ INFLUENCE

The jobs you pin decide which employers we ask in and which workplaces we try to arrange.
