How can pupils develop, communicate and teach an art practice rooted in Teesside — moving from mapping a place, through independent studio work and a real arts encounter, to sharing a skill with another person and influencing what happens next?

This is the Bronze shape: develop your own arts practice (W1–3), review an arts event as an audience member (W4), research a practitioner's career (W5), and share an arts skill by teaching someone else (W6–7), then reflect and close the loop (W8). Each week retrieves a decision from the last and hands one forward; Week 8 turns a pupil's recommendation into a real change a named adult acts on and reports back.

How these lessons were upgraded (the enhancement layer)

Matt hand-built these as a striking dark-mode, place-rooted 12-section Bronze suite with a five-colour Teesside palette (steel, gold, teal, oxide, violet), a real Lundy loop and a deliberately light, tier-appropriate engine. This upgrade layers the house system on top, dark-aware, without altering a line of his authored content:

• The four Lundy missions are tinted by position using his own Teesside colours — SPACE steel, VOICE oxide, AUDIENCE teal, INFLUENCE gold — the same zone hues as the BUILD suite, so a pupil moving Explore → Bronze sees the same four zones, deepened. An animated Lundy loop ring shows the cycle.
• A per-week stamped ticket loop-close that, on a hard day, closes the loop on its own.
• An explicit connecting spine band on every lesson (Inherited / Feeds), built from his own influence lines.
• A GROW → LAUNCH evidence ladder (GROW entry → GROW secure → LAUNCH reach) — Bronze reaching toward Silver.
• A "Not an art specialist? Say this" cue in his visual-explainer slide — the exact words to model, one per week.
• Reading themes that add light Cream / Pink / Blue options over his dark studio default — a 📖 Reading toggle that remembers each pupil's choice. (Safe because his visual-explainer panels are self-contained light islands, so switching the page to a light mode never breaks them.)
• Dual Progress + Made by Matt branding (the suite was brand-neutral).

Left deliberately untouched: his engine, his dark studio palette, his per-week visual explainers, and his Calm Mode. The engine is lighter than a full quiz engine by design — right for Bronze — so no sorts or retrieval tests were added.

Bronze-tier design

Progression is developing a controlled process, communicating with an audience, and — the Bronze centrepiece — teaching a skill to someone else, which is the deepest proof of understanding. Personal disclosure is optional; personal, non-personal and abstract Teesside routes count equally. Every slide names access routes; adult support and pupil authorship are recorded separately. The Lundy loop closes with a report-back contract a named adult must honour.

The four zone positions are mapped onto Matt's dark Teesside palette: SPACE steel · VOICE oxide · AUDIENCE teal · INFLUENCE gold. Positions are identical to every pathway; the hues match the BUILD suite so the loop reads consistently as pupils move up a tier, expressed here through the richer dark studio palette.

GROW entry = develop a process with support; GROW secure = compare, refine and explain a decision for an audience; LAUNCH reach = synthesise, adapt for a real audience, and transfer the routine to an unfamiliar skill, event or teaching situation — the reach toward Silver.

Week 3: Independent Studio Challenge

Enquiry: How will I apply and develop my selected processes into a personal or non-personal Teesside piece?

Retrieves: Week 2's controlled processes. Feeds: your unresolved questions and interests set the Week 4 arts-event attention route.

Week 4: Arts Event — Attend, Capture and Review

Enquiry: How does encountering art as an audience member change what I notice, value or question?

Retrieves: Week 3's studio piece & open questions. Feeds: your review shapes future event choices, pacing, access tools and practitioner follow-up.

Week 5: Practitioner, Career and Inspiration

Enquiry: How has a practitioner developed a career, and what could their work change in mine?

Retrieves: Week 4's arts-event review. Feeds: the practitioner strategies you pick become the menu of skills to teach in Weeks 6–7.

Week 6: Plan and Rehearse the Skill Share

Enquiry: What do I need to plan so another person can successfully learn an arts skill from me?

Retrieves: Week 5's chosen strategies. Feeds: your learner needs and teaching choices set the Week 7 studio stations, tools and timings.

Week 7: Deliver the Skill Share and Curate

Enquiry: How can I adapt my teaching and presentation so my audience can act successfully?

Retrieves: Week 6's rehearsed plan. Feeds: your and your learner's feedback changes the final display, access route and next-term arts provision.

Week 8: Reflect, Audit and Close the Loop

Enquiry: What did I develop, communicate and influence — and what evidence or learning comes next?

Retrieves: Week 7's delivered skill share. Feeds (closes): a named adult acts on a recommendation and reports the decision, action and deadline back to learners.

What a trained adviser still needs to provide separately

This is an evidence-building module, not automatic Bronze completion. A trained Arts Award adviser must audit the complete individual portfolio and qualification hours against the current Bronze requirements before any claim. Artsmark is whole-setting development, not an individual pupil award. Add locally approved, credited Teesside references and verified current event/practitioner sources before teaching. These lessons prepare and evidence the practice; they do not self-certify the award.
