Every surreal collage uses one or both of these. Reveal them one at a time.

1️⃣ JUXTAPOSE

Place two unrelated things next to each other. The viewer's brain links them and a new meaning appears. An eye next to a clock.

2️⃣ TRANSFORM

Let one object become part of the other, so the join disappears. The clock IS the iris. This is the stronger, more surreal move.

Independent Work — Make Your Surreal Eye

In your sketchbook (or on A4/A3). Make ONE strong surreal eye — combine, transform, trace — then add a 3-line annotation.

📋 Make your surreal eye

1. Combine & transform: cut 2+ images from the image bank, merge them into ONE surreal eye — no gaps, one becomes part of the other (a clock that IS the iris).

2. Trace: scribble-back — scribble soft pencil on the BACK of your collage, lay it on your page and draw over it; OR tape it to a window and trace the lines.

3. Annotate (3 short lines): 👁️ SEE · 💭 LIKE (+ why) · 🎨 MEDIA — use the sentence starters in your pack.
